I have been meaning to share a few words with those Catholics who love God, and believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
I believe the Bible makes a few things very clear, but not all people take the scriptures as Truth, as in… Absolute Truth. The principles set forth in the Bible are not suggestions to Man, they are Absolute Guidelines by which Man MUST live life… if Man intends his Soul to live past the End Time, and I believe mankind has about 7 years to Armageddon.
The following are two such principles:
“You shall have no other gods before me.
And I believe this also means no god-like figures, or people who believe themselves to be god-like.
And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, …
In the above, it is patently clear that “a carved image or any likeness…” is an important statement. Especially regarding the “crucifix” and the images of Mary, and the Papacy is filled with “carved images,’ is it not? The same is true for “You shall not bow down to them or serve them…
And is not living ones life according to the dictates of someone assuming the role of Christ on Earth… the same as serving a “False Prophet”?
When a person goes before the Pope, kneels down and kisses the ring the Pope is wearing… does this in any way remind you of the above admonitions?
When a Priest suggests that he can forgive or intervene in the sins you have committed, by whose authority does he do this? Is that Priest mentioned in the Bible as a disciple of Christ? As far as I am familiar with the Bible, Christ only provided the “Spirit” Comforter or helper to his Disciples… after he personally Initiated them. By whose authority does Man presume to “act like or do the things of Christ…who Himself said that he did nothing that was not first ordered by his Father, God”?
They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
It is not for Man [any Man] to presume to speak for God, or for Christ. It is to God that all of Mankind must seek acceptance, and Christ was given to Mankind as a reminder of the Father; His Son in human form. This is clearly the only two that a Christian can serve without penalty. I mention this out of concern for good people whose desire to love God may have been unknowingly and subtly mislead?
God has a personal relationship with each Soul. Only God determines the disposition of the Soul, and even the Son, Christ, does the work of his Father. No Soul must go through any human to be with God. Close your eyes, and think of God, and you are in the presence of God. Please return to this personal relationship, and just love God.
